So my blogging experience has been nothing but fun and I continue on writing for a very long time. When I was younger I used to just throw everything into a journal, so being able to throw my ideas out in a new format is very cool.
It's also been very interesting to watch my user base and traffic grow since I launched my new blog. Although my site visitor volume is still pretty low, it has been steadily increasing on a daily basis. Outside of the totally bizarre traffic I continue to get from MSN Image Search for 'best fans' - I've seen a slow growth for most of my posts and categories.
But - I'm still a small fry. Most of my readers are friends or friends of friends. I do get a solid amount of traffic from search results - particularly on Google for gaming specific listings, but in general it is the same core that keeps coming back. So knowing this, I've been thinking about ways to expand my market (mmm...marketing terms).
My good friend The Missus has done an amazing job promoting her site around Boston and gets a good deal of traffic from her posts. I could take her idea of handing out business cards for her blog everywhere she goes or I maybe starting posting more about Boston's many hidden gems?
Who knows......it's a new year which means good things for Brevitt. So if you are in and around Boston - watch out.....I'm on the prowl for new readers and you never know where I might show up.
